Our Team

Riccardo has a general corporate/commercial and securities law practice with an emphasis on corporate finance, private equity, stock exchange listings, initial public offerings, Capital Pool Company formations, qualifying transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.  Riccardo has acted for issuers (public and private) in a wide variety of transactions, and regularly advises clients on general corporate matters, corporate governance, continuous disclosure obligations, financing options, stock exchange and regulatory compliance matters.

In his corporate finance practice, Riccardo represents issuers and investors in a wide range of financing transactions, including IPOs, private placements, and other forms of debt and equity financing.  Riccardo’s corporate governance experience includes advising management and boards of directors on executive and board compensation, director and officer liability, and regulatory compliance matters.

Prior to joining Irwin Lowy LLP in 2011, he summered, articled and practiced with the Toronto office of Bennett Jones LLP from 2007-2011. As a student-at-law Riccardo was seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission.

Riccardo received his Bachelor of Laws in 2008 from the University of Ottawa. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Finance from The George Washington University in 2003 (Magna Cum Laude) where he attended as a 4-year student-athlete member of the Men’s Varsity Soccer Team.
